...Stories of Hope, Intrigue and the sharp edge of Suspense.

My first guest on Hope Inspired Suspense is author Sue LeDoux, presenting her mystery-suspense-thriller... "The Divine Meddler."  Sue says she's called "to write what He wants me to write, so it goes where He wants it to go, and does what He wants it to do."

After his daughter is found dead, Lou Skalney murders the man he believes is responsible. Unrepentant, Lou faces the death penalty, only to wake up the morning after his execution, very much alive and locked within the walls of a hidden monastery.

Surrounded by monks and murderers, Lou vows to escape what he believes is a living hell. What kind of monks have black belts in Krav Maga? Are they truly the spiritual guides the Abbot claims they are? And why do people disappear from the monastery during the night?

He is not the only one with questions. His oldest friend, Rudy Kowalski, is a newspaper reporter who suspects Lou Skalney wasn't executed. Rudy stops at nothing to find answers, despite putting his life at risk.

Can Lou find redemption and save his friend at the same time?

Author: Sue LeDoux

Fueled by coffee and an overactive imagination, Sue LeDoux creates fiction
that draws from her years as a nurse and wife of a CSI chemist. She blends her
fascination about church history with life’s raw experiences. Her flawed characters
navigate messy lives. She does not write for the spiritually comfortable.

Her favorite Hymn: "I love, hands down, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring."

Sue's favorite Bible verseRomans 8:38  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose. "I like this verse because every single one of His children has a divine purpose...even if He sometimes has to meddle to get us to fulfill our purposes."
